Ashta Churnam is a herbal powder used in digestive tract problems. It contains very safe and easily available herbal spices. Ashta means 8 indicating that this product contains 8 ingredients. Churna means powder.

Uses of AVN Ashta Churnam / Ashta Churna :

• First rate in vata-gulma [abdominal or intestinal lumps/ tumors]
• Easily cures stomach ache, indigestion, loss of appetite and grahani [irritable bowel syndromes, colitis etc]
• Reputed in children’s grahani and diseases caused by evil spirits.
• Improves digestion power.
• It is used in the treatment of anorexia, indigestion etc.
• It is also used in the treatment of Vata imbalance and Vata related diseases like bloating, joint diseases etc.
• It is a good diet supplement in Rheumatoid arthritis.

Ingredients of AVN Ashta Churnam / Ashtachoornam:
Each 10 g prepared out of-
Trikatu (Zingiber officinale, Piper longum, Piper nigrum)- 1.250 g
Ajamoda (Carum roxburghianum)- 1.250 g
Saindhava lavana- 1.250 g
Jeerakadvaya 1.250 g Black cumin and white cumin seeds
Hingu (Asafoetida)- 1.250 g.
The above ingredients are powdered separately and mixed together in specified quantity.
It is also known as Hingwashtak churna.

Dosage of AVN Ashta Churanam / Ashtachurnam : 2-5 gms.

Adjuvant:
Shatpala or Sukumara Ghrita with meals
Or in butter milk boiled with dry ginger and curry leaves before meals.
