Kottakkal Ayurveda Kutajathwagadi Leham

Kutajathwagadi Leham is an Ayurvedic medicine in herbal jam/paste form. It is used in the treatment of diarrhoea, dysentery, IBS etc. It is also known as Kutajavaleham.

Uses of Kutajathwagadi Leham:

• This is to be taken in dysentery and bleeding piles.
• This improves digestion and is good for diarrhea and
• Grahani – IBS, sprue, altering diarrhea and constipation

Ingredients of Kutajatwagadi Leham:

• Kutaja (Holarrhena antidysentrica)
• Vidanga (Embelica ribes)
• Vacha (Acorus calamus)
• Agni (Plumbago rossea)
• Shunti (Zingiber officinale)
• Maricha (Piper nigrum)
• Pippali (Piper longum)
• Bilva (Aegle marmelos)

Dosage of Kutajathwagadi Leha:

1. Adult dose – 5-10 grams, twice daily, after food, is the adult dose.
2. For children below 5 years of age, dose is – 2 – 3 grams, once or twice a day, or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor.
3. For children between 5 – 12 years of age, dose is – 5 grams, once or twice a day or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor.
